In this webinar Dr. Bryan Sexton introduces a structured opportunity to cultivate positive experiences by reflecting on them for a couple of minutes within two hours of sleep onset (daily email/SMS sent to each participant for 2 weeks). By savoring good moments from earlier that day just before sleep onset, we see improvements in resilience, sleep quality, relationships, work-life balance, and depression. Participants also benefit from viewing nightly Three Good Things logs of others.

Dr. Bryan Sexton is Associate Professor  and Director of the Duke Center for Healthcare Safety & Quality, part of the Duke University Health System. Dr. Sexton has captured the wisdom of frontline caregivers through rigorous assessments of safety culture, teamwork, and workforce resilience. His research instruments have been used around the world in over 3000 hospitals, in 30 countries.

This webinar is the first in a series being held by the Conference's Health and Wellness Team and Disaster Resource and Response Team to support clergy, lay leadership, and faith community member health and well being in this time of pandemic and racial injustice awareness.

"We feel it is important to provide resources to promote resiliency, prevent burnout, and to normalize the variety of feelings experienced by those who are called to support others in mind, body, and spirit," said Deborah Ringen, Transitional Minister for Health and Wellness. "The series will be presented during July and August.  Expert presenters will provide tools and experiences that can be used and shared in daily life settings."

This webinar is being offered free of charge. Register to participate via Zoom here.
