The Massachusetts Department of Criminal Justice Information Systems (DCJIS) has an online criminal history request service called iCORI. This service allows individuals and organizations to request and obtain Massachusetts criminal offender record information (CORI) over the internet. Please note you will need to register in order to use the iCORI Service.
- iCORI May 2020 Training Documents and iCORI Forms and Information
- Read the iCORI Policy for Organizations: Religious organizations have "Required 2 Access"
(Refer to page 9 of the pdf.)
- Read the iCORI Quick Reference Guide Register as an Organization and then register your church with the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services to properly access iCORI. Each church is allowed two "representatives" who may submit, review and access CORI results. Due to confidentially issues, the "representatives" should have a position of lay leadership and the pastor should NOT be considered for this role.
- Establish a CORI policy. Refer to the DCJIS Model CORI Policy (updated 9/19/2017)
- Use the CORI Acknowledgement Form filled in with your church information that a prospective volunteer or employee will complete before you can submit a CORI request.
- If you have any questions please e-mail the DCJIS at iCORI.INFO@state.ma.us, or call the Constituent Assistance and Research Unit at 617-660-4640 between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday - Friday.
- Understand and comply with the DCJIS (Updated) Terms and Conditions for iCORI access.
