Our Spirits Fed

Our Spirits Fed

Share
We live quite busy lives. From balancing family obligations to work commitments, social engagements and, of course, our service to our local church ministry, it is often difficult to consider adding one more thing to the list.  With that reality, you may be wondering why revival is important now.  Why is it worth the time and effort to spend two nights in revival with your CTUCC family?

The UCC believes that “the persistent search for God produces an authentic relationship with God, engendering love, strengthening faith, dissolving guilt, and giving life purpose and direction.”  Today, our world is in need of an authentic relationship with God that engenders love and strengthens faith.  We are inundated with divisive messages and troubling realities that plague our world.  Revival is the answer! The power that is shared during our revival time is guaranteed to galvanize us for the journey ahead.  When we join in joyous music and faithful worship, our spirits are fed.  Our spirits will be strengthened by powerful preaching from the Rev. Dr. Susan K. Smith on Friday night and (my pastor) the Rev. Keith A. Bolton on Saturday night.

Isaiah 40:28-31  says, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. God does not faint or grow weary; God’s understanding is unsearchable. God gives power to the faint, and to them who have no might God increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Need strengthened for the journey?  Join me on Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14, 7 pm at the Spring Glen Church in Hamden to be revived.
