Refuse to Be Silent: Moral March on Washington and to the Polls

Refuse to Be Silent: Moral March on Washington and to the Polls

Share
The Mass Poor People’s and Low-Wage Worker’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls on June 18, 2022, will be a generationally-transformative declaration of the power of poor and low-wealth people and our moral allies to say that this system is killing  ALL of us.

The event is taking place on the same day as the Conference’s 2022 Annual Meeting. If you are not participating in Annual Meeting, you can attend the Moral March in person in Washington, D.C. There also are options for participating online.
  • Are you outraged by the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and denial of healthcare, militarism and the war economy, and the false moral narrative of religious nationalism?
  • Do you want to change the narrative and build the power of those most affected by these injustices?
  • Do you want to join impacted people and people of faith and moral courage from around the country to be energized – not just for a moment, but a movement?
Please be in touch with Rev. Emma Brewer-Wallin to talk more about getting your church involved and connect with other UCC congregations attending. Limited financial assistance is available to assist with travel costs. Learn more and sign up here.  Find a bus to DC here.

You’re also invited to attend a meeting of the Prophetic Council, the network of faith leaders involved with the Poor People’s Campaign, on May 3rd, at 8 PM EDT. At this meeting, we will ground ourselves in our movement and hear information regarding June 18th. Register HERE for May 3rd!
