In 2014, I began my time on the staff of the historic CT Conference as the Office Manager and now in the SNEUCC am transitioning into my role with this team and our Innovation team. I also began facilitating Racial Justice trainings and conversations in 2014, and have offered many of these trainings to youth groups all over the US! Outside of the office, I serve as the Youth Ministry Coordinator for a group of four churches in the New Haven area, partnered with the Yale Youth Ministry Institute. Together we have Oasis, a multi-church youth group and confirmation program. Three of those four churches are a part of SNEUCC! To say that I have my hand in many cookie jars is a fair one, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! After all, I love snacks.
The bulk of my youth ministry work comes down to the details. I make things visible and organized. I help to develop programs that are scripturally driven and fun. Soon I will be helping to create our newsletters and social media content, as well as continue to help the leaders on the Faith Formation team with the day-to-day operations of what they need! I am so excited to provide this team with even more energy and resources than they already have, together we are bound to make a big impact.
