FEMA and Financial Aid for Churches in Federally Declared Disaster Zones

Share
Recently, our federal government extended the assistance from FEMA to houses of worship in federally declared disaster zones. FEMA typically comes in to these disaster zones to coordinate immediate, short-term and long-term assistance and recovery. Normally, their resources are directed towards private citizens through a standard protocol.  But now, churches are able to utilize this assistance. With the changes in our climate we are living now in a new norm where storms will come with greater frequency and greater intensity.

An article was recently sent around to our Conferences with some helpful information regarding the new FEMA policy and how it may assist churches. You can find this article here.

Our MACUCC Disaster Resources and Response Team website continues to provide excellent resources for our churches and communities regarding disaster preparedness and response. In this March madness month of perpetual nor'easters, keep an eye on our website.
