Nick Carter, President of Andover Newton Theological School, has gathered some resources intended to help us reflect on this tragedy.  I commend them to you, and believe you will find them helpful in shaping your own response and guiding your congregation or constituency.  (Find those resources here.)

I still have friends in Syria from my visit there with our national UCC expert Peter Makari in 2007. I pray for them, and for a peaceful resolution in their land, every day. Thank you for your prayers, your leadership, and your faithfulness.
