Interfaith service to remember devastation of June 1 tornadoes

Share

On Friday, June 1, at 4 p.m., an Interfaith Service of “Remembrance, Rebuilding and Renewal” will be held at Old First Church in Springfield, to mark the first anniversary of the tornados that devastated central Massachusetts. Everyone is welcome. Clergy are asked to robe and gather in the sanctuary by 3:45.

We’re also asking all churches with bells to ring their bells at 4:37 p.m. and everyone, no matter where you are, as able, to observe a moment of silence.

For any questions or more information, please contact Barbara Schenk, pastor of Foster Memorial and member of the planning team for this service, at revschenk@comcast.net.
