Part of my day on Friday was spent hearing about and reflecting on the role of youth ministers in our churches.  My local church has very few “Youth” (a tough term to define), but it is really crazy to hear the kinds of things that youth ministers have to deal with these days.

I want to thank all those who were youth minister to me in middle and high school, and offer prayer and support to all those who do this work now.  We will have tough work as a committee working with this proposal, mostly because we all want to offer more support, advocacy and appreciation then the resolution already calls for.  That work is on Sunday, so more to come.
