John Van Epps

John Van Epps collects, preserves, organizes and maintains the Southern New England Conference's archival collection.  This includes an extensive library, the records of the churches and clergy, publications and other information. He assists researchers and scholars in the use of the Archives, and answers inquiries regarding the histories of the Conference and its 600+ churches. He assists our local church historians with an annual workshop responding to their special needs and goals, and offers assistance to churches celebrating anniversaries.

He previously served as the Archivist for the historic CT Conference.

A history major when he graduated from Colgate University, John Van Epps is pastor of the North Guilford Congregational Church UCC. His mother's ancestors were among the original settlers of New Haven. He has done research on the Saybrook Platform, and assisted with planning the bicentennial of the Missionary Society of Connecticut in 1997.
