Financial Assistance Programs

Financial Assistance Programs

Each year, the Fairfield East Association sets aside some funds to provide for financial assistance of its members.  This assistance is available to all members of the Fairfield East Association, lay or clergy as outlined below.  All monies are dispersed based upon need and available funds

For All Association Members…

Special financial assistance for Continuing Education may be available to both Clergy and Lay Members from the Fairfield East Association who wish to participate in an educational experience which is expected to benefit the participant in their faith journey, local church or ministry setting.

For Local Member Churches…

Special financial assistance for LOCAL MEMBER CHURCHES may be available from the Fairfield East Association.  These needs may include, but are not limited to, such items as emergency or unexpected facilities repairs, new initiatives and program starts, mediation or conflict resolution support, and other needs which are deemed necessary and appropriate by the Committee on Church and Ministry.

For FEA  Authorized Ministers…

Special financial assistance for pastors and all authorized ministers in the FEA may be available from the Fairfield East Association.  These needs may include, but are not limited to, such items as psychological or career counseling, emergency or unexpected medical expenses, and other needs which are deemed necessary and appropriate by the Committee on Church and Ministry.  In addition, funds may be available to assist with the reduction of outstanding seminary loan debts.

For FEA Members in Discernment

Special financial assistance for Members in Discernment may be available from the Fairfield East Association.  These needs may include, but are not limited to, such items as psychological or career counseling, books, tuition, workshops, and other needs which are deemed necessary and appropriate by the Committee on Church and Ministry.

For Silver Lake Conference Center Scholarships

Each year the Fairfield East Association budget scholarship funds to assist youth from its member churches to participate in events that will help them grow in their faith, learn more about their church and simply enjoy Christian community!  One of the best ways to accomplish this is by supporting youth in attending programs offered by the Silver Lake Conference Center in Sharon, Connecticut.    Detailed information including scholarship application forms are distributed to all Fairfield East Association churches and clergy each year in January, for the next summer session.
